I can't sleep. So I return to the world of livejournal. Well doesn't seem much has changed. Minta should also return to livejournal. I enjoyed her writings. But I am glad J and several others still inform the internet community of their lives. Merry christmas. Well not anymore. I got one hundred dollars for christmas. yay. at least its more than cookies or nothing. which is what some people got.

I just do so much cocaine. I can't explain, I just snort so much coke. just so much coke, I snort. I swear. so much. cause i'm not an undercover cop. is why I snort so much coke. well not that much really. lets move to a farm.

What Sarah Said rings true though, I saw an old man die at the hospital the other day, and I operated the phone in ICU and I had to go cry in the restroom for a minute when there were so many people in there and no eyes were on the tv, and it was entertaining itself as the only sound.

Dorms are el-gay0. My roommate will think I'm goth with my death cab for cutie poster like brittany fontain on Made--but she was just hardcore.

Brothers on a Hotel Bed makes me think of Myrtle who had to go into the stock room for a minute when she told me she didn't recognize her hands for a brief second and forgot that she was/is old.

Orientation was pretty neat. The Liberal Arts College was built like a nautilus or whatnot and apparently you can get lost and die. The Orientation Leaders for the liberal arts college handed out a list of clubs and bars to frequent once we overcome our adjustment period of tourism, in which we only frequent Bourbon Street, and start to only go to the uptown and warehouse district clubs and bars, neat. The leaders were also interesting, one was named Georgio Maranachios (something like that) and told us not to take classes before 1 and that he loves to party but never has been drunk, and the other was named Ashley something, she was black and therefore sassy and was the perfect foil to the Greek.

A Japanese girl followed me around for a while trying to get my attention and it took way too long to realize that she was trying to talk to me about joining the honors program, and she was so excited when she told me about, that I agreed! I also felt really smart and cool when I notified that I was the only one in the orientation session that did so well on the english placement essay that I don't have to take any comp. classes. I met two interesting girls, one was really poor and from Chicago and talked about the early november with me and how poor she was and that she has a full scholarship too. I said I noticed she wore the same thing for the two days, and she offered me a cigarette. The other girl was from Alaska and was a Philosophy major and we talked about Joyce Carol Oates, in regard to the placement essay, and how hot it was. She complimented my iPod.

The Lakefront was so nice, my parents told me to only drive on that road since the other ones are laced with frightening black people. They told me they had a picnic while I was at orientation on the lakefront and tried their luck at the casino downtown and my mom won like twelve hundred dollars on a slot machine. I was so jealous.

The Fair yesterday was so scary. The rides felt like they were going to fall apart and I was going to fly out and die. J. was so excited at facing potential death though. Wafflehouse was also weird; a grasshopper was in my hair and there was a trailer trash fight as J. puts it that we witnessed.

This song is so sad.

Day Two of Uploading every CD I've ever owned into my iPod has lead to the completion of iPod uploadage--and somehow it only amounts up to 3.2 gigs on my iPod but I uploaded so many cds; I think it's just the iPod music format makes the files much smaller than wmas or mp3s. Anyway, I've uncovered so many musical acts I've forgotten that I used to love a whole lot, namely RUFiO! I totally forgot how much I loved them throughout 10th grade and me and Cris would rock out in her Dodge. Whiny Punk Pop used to be so fun, it still is fun--woohoo One Slowdance.

Reggie and the Full Effects/AAR! (And hellogoodbye)

The All-American Rejects show was incredibly awesome. Even though Tyson was on so much coke and had a really high voice. I got hit in the head with a water bottle and sprayed several times subsequently. hellogoodbye was the best of the night and I immediately went to buy their cd. There was an annoying guy in a white shirt that kept jumping behind me during the AAR set and hit me in the head repeatedly. I was so popular in the pit because I had cigarettes and all the fourteen year old boys and girls wanted to buy them from me, but I said it's cool and handed out the sticks of cancer. For a few moments I had to stand next to an extremely sweaty guy in a red polo that smelled awful--and was profusely moist, ew. Then he was swallowed up by some hardcore dancers and J. quickly beat up some little girls and took their spot next to me. We sneaked in not only one camera, as the decoy camera plan suggested, but ALL of our cameras. So many pictures and flashes, and eventual ducking and hiding once security saw the flash. AAR was just a flash photography frenzy however, as soon as tyson decided he could fly while on coke on dived into the crowd. J. realized all our pics are of Tyson who is crazy.

I bought the new Rocket Summer cd at the Virgin (not cdstore but..) MEGAstore and it is le gay. But that's okay since I got hellogoodbye and Elkland at Tower Records, although the Tower records employee promptly told us that hellogoodbye was sold out and Kalee and I agreed once we looked at the blank plastic placeholder with "hellogoodbye" on the label. J. however quickly noticed that behind the label, where the cds usually are, were several copies of hellogoodbye.

So much cocaine. When I was at the Reggie show, headlining was New Found Glory who I hate a lot, I hid in the bathroom during their set and there was a guy that would come in every twenty minutes to do coke, or I assume, he sniffed a lot.

I've never been to a show where I really enjoyed all the sets, except well maybe once, in Jacksonville when I went to see The New Amsterdams and Dashboard Confessional, but missed most of the New Amsterdams since they didn't even set up a stage for him to play and no one really listened, we didn't, we were busy buying merch, and I guess everyone knows that Chris is the main reason everyone is there, packing an entire arena. I hope Bright Eyes doesn't suck on Friday, I like The Faint but I'm not too found of Connor's work on Digital Ash in a Digital Urn which he will be playing on Friday, just sounds like the whole electronic trend, Bright Eyes style, and they don't do it as well as others.

My brother drives my car around now. I hate him.

Taking Back Sunday is so angry/sad.

TV Night

I'm a connoisseur of roads. I've been tasting roads my whole life. This road will never end. It probably goes all around the world.

So last night was Gus Van Sant night on Cinemax--I watched two really good, great movies of his from the early nineties, My Own Private Idaho, and Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. Uma Thurman, Rivers Phoenix, and Keanu Reeves. The above is the last line from My Own Private Idaho. Van Sant is really genius, I haven't seen much of his work before, other than his most acclaimed Elephant, and Good Will Hunting, which he only directed.

My Own Private Idaho had inklings of Shakespeare's Henry IV and Henry V--several lines are actually taken directly from the plays. Uma Thurman was a cowgirl. Keanu Reeves was gay.

I had a dream that Sarah Luna invited me to her wedding, and then she didn't show up to the alter and the bridegrooms party became an angry mob and started looking for Sarah all over the town, eventually they found her and chased her as she was riding away on a grey horse with a bow and arrow set around her chest.

Bad News: The Honda Civic Tour '05 is le gay...Maroon 5 is headlining. While this remains fruitful for Khalid, pun very deliberate, last year's tour was so much more fun (The Get Up Kids and Dashboard Confessional, I guess emo is no longer synonymous with Honda), although Kalee and I did not feel an overwhelming sense of freedom upon driving on an eight-lane highway. But we did decipher our location (Georgia) with our extreme olfactory prowess.

I'm terribly jealous of anyone who watches the O.C. religiously (or just at all) considering the last episode that was shown featured Death Cab for Cutie, not only as background music---because the O.C. features Death Cab in their soundtrack often (buy the soundtrack! *I was just informed there are several)--but there was an actual Death Cab concert occuring on the show. How exciting, the extras even stood around like they didn't know how to react to the show, like a real Death Cab show!

The Hot Hot Heat are from Victoria, British Columbia. Kalee owes me 1.0 X 10^eleventybillion dollars for telling (correcting) me when I suggested (knew) they were Canadian, when she was positive they were British. But then again Victoria is a town best known for imitating the queen's England in the service of tourism.

*Edit: I miss my hair. The Bravery makes me wish I had the energy in the morning to dance in the mirror and get ready for school. Like some teenage movie about senior year--you know, the opening is a montage of all these kids getting ready for the first day of senior year when it's just another day really.
